User Review: Nikon D3X Body Only
Nikon D3X twenty four.5MP FX CMOS Digital SLR with 3.0-Inch LCD (Body Only)
Forgive my terribly poor english... it has been solely ten days since I even have this wonderful camera, therefore i am not very responsive to what it will do, however I even have already taken photos for 2 asingments. the primary one I already delivered it, and therefore the consumer (a huge hotel downtown San Jose Costa Rica) was therefore impressed by the results, he even known as me to congratulate me. they need been my shoppers since four years.
I used to shoot with a Nikon d2x and that i created up my mind and determined to speculate during this piece of surprise. the standard of the image surpasses by way my expectations (and my client's as well): The photos are rather more detailed than something I had seen, perhaps solely corresponding to photos shot by my film Hasselblad. even though you take photos at a high ISO, like 1250, they are available out terribly detailed, in order that offers you plenty of freedom. The files are very massive, therefore you wish a quick pc to figure on them (I have a 24" iMac that I bought a year ago, that works perfectly well).
The tonal gradation is astounding. If you shoot in "raw" you then have the chance to form different choices like fine tuning on the colour temperature of the images, or build a curve on them. i prefer the D-Lighting choice, however not that a lot of when taking photos of individuals, the skin tones begin a little unrealistic. one thing that i like is that the photos have a wider dynamic vary than its predecessor, the D2x, therefore once you open the photos in photoshop (when shot as raw files) you have got rather more info than before, let's say, additional details on the shadows and highlights; this can be terribly convenient, specially once you take photos of design.
When you shoot in "raw" you have got the choice of compressing bit the files with no quality loss, this can be terribly useful, i attempted it and it works fine. therefore in average they might weigh regarding twenty five MB every one. i assume this can be not the simplest camera to shoot sports since it isn't as quick because the D3s, except for what I do (architecture, weddings, products, people, fashion, food, tourism) it works fine. Once you have got it in your hands, and you shoot the primary photos and appearance at the wonderful quality, then you ignore the high value you got it...
I'm still learning a way to use this camera, therefore i'll update this later.
